Food Safety Training Programmes
We are pleased to announce a range of food safety courses are available as from January 2023.
The courses are completed by our training partners QHS and are completed in our Marketplace training rooms or remotely by a tutor led training platform (Microsoft Teams).
Funding of up to 25% is available for all courses through Skillsnet Ireland.

Food Safety (HACCP) Level 1
Course Objectives: Provide trainees with a level of awareness, knowledge and understanding of the food hygiene & HACCP requirements as per the FSAI Training Guidelines Level 1
Duration: 3 hours (including course assessment) Cost: €35pp
Target Audience: All food handlers performing low risk food handling duties – shop floor, tills. No previous food safety training experience required. Ideal for new starts/induction.
Food Safety (HACCP) Level 2
Course Objectives: Provide trainees with a level of awareness, knowledge and understanding of the food hygiene & HACCP requirements as per the FSAI Training Guidelines Level 2
Duration: 4 hours (including course assessment) Cost: €40pp
Target Audience: All food handlers performing high risk food handling duties – deli, butchery, bakery, supervisors/ managers. Trainees must have completed level 1 course or have suitable experience.
Food Safety Management & HACCP Level 3
Course Objectives: Provide trainees with a level of awareness, knowledge and understanding of the management of food hygiene & HACCP requirements as per the FSAI Training Guidelines Level 3
Duration: 8 hours (including course assessment) Cost: €75pp
Target Audience: All owners, managers, supervisors, deli supervisors. Food safety champions
Entry requirements: Trainees must have completed level 2 course or have suitable experience.

Online training courses are tutor led and are completed via Microsoft teams. Marketplace training courses are completed in the cash and carry training room.
